Training Officer, Creative Digital Media
18.5 hours per week, Fixed Term 30 June 2026
£14,653 to £15,828 p.a. (inclusive of £1,235 Distant Islands Allowance p.a.)

Comhairle Nan Eilean Siar is hiring a part-time Creative Digital Media Training Officer to support Foundation Apprenticeships in Creative and Digital Media. This vibrant role involves delivering training in media production, mentoring young learners, and collaborating with schools to ensure curriculum alignment for accreditation. Ideal candidates will bring experience in digital media, strong communication skills, a passion for youth development, and fluency in Gaelic to support bilingual learning and local culture. Flexible hours, a creative working environment, and the opportunity to help shape the future workforce of the Western Isles.

Educated to SVQ 3 or equivalent in related discipline. Educated to Higher level or equivalent with at least two years’ experience working in Human Resources, Training or Youth Work. It is essential that you have good organisational skills with an ability to work on own initiative, excellent communication skills and the ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure. The postholder will have knowledge of all aspects of the delivery of training programmes and a good working knowledge of educational structures and evidence/theory requirements of accredited training programmes.

Salary for the above post is inclusive of Distant Islands Allowance. Appointment to the post will be on the first point of the grade.
