Overview
Team Leader, Training, Western Isles (8071) — 37 hours per week, permanent position.
Salary: £38,452 to £42,465 per annum, inclusive of £2,859 Distant Islands Allowance. Appointment on the first point of grade with annual incremental progression.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the Employability and Developing the Young Workforce programmes, ensuring quality assurance and delivery of Scottish Qualifications.
- Manage the delivery, outcomes, accreditation and quality assurance of all programmes the Centre is contracted to deliver.
- Coordinate, support, develop, implement and monitor all training, learning, assessment and verification related to these outcomes.
- Have management responsibility for their teams and for coordinating and quality assuring all work undertaken.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Knowledge of all aspects of the delivery of training programmes, with experience in Training, Mentoring and Counselling of Young People.
- Strong organisational skills, excellent communication skills, ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
- Current UK driving licence.
- Assessor/Verifier Qualification or willingness to gain it within 6 months of appointment.
- HND level or SVQ Level 3 in a related discipline, with up-to-date CPD and demonstrable relevant work experience.
- Estimate/confirm CPD and evidence of ongoing professional development.
- PVG Scheme membership is required for regulated work with protected adults and children.
