37 hours per week, Fixed Term for 12 Months
£32,610 - £35,639 per annum (inclusive of £2,997 Distant Islands Allowance)
Working closely with the Payroll team, you will be responsible for managing Payroll IT systems, coordinating software upgrades, resolving system issues, undertaking system testing, maintaining procedures and supporting users to ensure the accurate and timely production of payroll information and statutory returns. You will also liaise with software suppliers, IT Services, Human Resources and Accountancy colleagues to ensure systems operate effectively and efficiently.
You should have a good understanding of how IT supports business processes and be highly computer literate with experience of Microsoft Office applications. You must be able to establish and maintain effective working relationships, manage competing priorities, communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, and work on your own initiative.
You must hold an IT qualification at HNC level or equivalent. You will be expected to work flexibly during key operational periods, including year-end payroll processes and major system upgrades. Appointment to the post is fixed term for 12 months.
