£25,627 to £28,004 per annum (inclusive of £2,430 Distant Islands Allowance per annum)
The Senior Administrator is required to provide administrative and financial support to all budget managers within the Health & Social Care Department. They are also required to provide administrative support to collate management information for business continuity, risk and health and safety.
To ensure efficient financial monitoring in a timely manner, working with the service accountant, you will be required to provide individual budget reports to budget managers, checking for miscoded expenditure and providing support to managers for their budget profile, budget management or year-end projections.
You will also be responsible for the preparation of monthly Salary Monitoring Spreadsheet using data from the Financial Management System and resolving pay coding queries with HR/Payroll.
You must have substantial experience (at least 2 years) in an administrative role within a team-based environment, as well as experience of setting up new data and information systems and extracting information using third party data extraction utilities and providing application support to system users.
It is essential that you have strong staff supervision skills and knowledge of services within Health & Social Care. You will have experience of maintaining online client record systems and proven organisational and planning skills.
You will have the ability to work independently and use your own initiative as well as prioritise work and work to tight deadlines.
This post is subject to a Basic Disclosure (Types of disclosure - mygov.scot). Salary for the above post is inclusive of Distant Islands Allowance. Appointment to the post will be on the first point of the grade.
