The Senior Administrator is required to provide administrative and financial support to all budget managers within the Health & Social Care Department. They are also responsible for collating management information for business continuity, risk and health and safety, and working with the service accountant to ensure efficient financial monitoring in a timely manner.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide individual budget reports to budget managers, checking for miscoded expenditure and supporting manager budget profiles, budget management and year‑end projections.
- Prepare the monthly Salary Monitoring Spreadsheet using data from the Financial Management System and resolve pay‑coding queries with HR/Payroll.
- Set up new data and information systems, extract information using third‑party utilities and provide application support to system users.
Qualifications & Experience
- At least 2 years in an administrative role within a team‑based environment.
- Strong staff supervision skills and knowledge of services within Health & Social Care.
- Experience maintaining online client record systems.
- Proven organisational and planning skills, ability to work independently, use own initiative and prioritise work to tight deadlines.
This post is subject to a Basic Disclosure. Salary is inclusive of Distant Islands Allowance. Appointment to the post will be on the first point of the grade.
