The predicted salary is between 15 - 15 £ per hour.

£15.94 per hour (inclusive of £1.55 Distant Islands Allowance per hour) Required by the Housing Services Section to staff its shared temporary accommodation unit in Stornoway.

Duties will include:

  • providing general advice and support to residents;
  • preparing and cleaning rooms for allocation to new residents;
  • monitoring general conduct of residents;
  • monitoring entry to the building and ensuring residents and visitors are complying with house rules;
  • undertaking regular inspections of rooms and premises and ensuring all communal areas are cleaned on a daily basis;
  • assisting with the collection of rents and service charges;
  • carrying out fire alarm checks.

You will have an understanding of the needs of homeless persons and experience of working with the client group or similar, good interpersonal and customer care skills, the ability to handle conflict and cope with emergencies and flexibility in terms of shift working.

This post is subject to membership of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme in respect of regulated work with adults. Salary for the above post is inclusive of Distant Islands Allowance.
