e-Sgoil is a national e-learning service, established in the Western Isles in 2016 and now supporting schools and learners across every local authority area in Scotland. The focus of the service is on live, interactive online learning, using technology to remove barriers and improve outcomes for young people. e-Sgoil (Gaelic for e-School) has equity at its heart and with programmes in English and Gaelic, helps schools to offer a wide-ranging and resilient curricular offer.
Required to provide project and other relevant administrative support services to the Head of School and wider e-Sgoil management team, as directed, the Assistant will be contributing to the delivery of an e-learning service across Scotland and, in particular, the delivery of the National e-Learning Offer (NeLO).
Knowledge of the office environment and processes, including financial procedures is required. You must have excellent communication and numeracy skills, effective time management skills and be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office apps, including MS Teams.
You must hold an SVQ Level 2 Administration, or other relevant qualification or have proven previous experience in an administrative role.
This post is subject to membership of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme as a legal requirement of a regulated role with Children.
Salary for the above post is inclusive of Distant Islands Allowance. Appointment to the post will be on the first point of grade.
