Posts: 6 permanent positions
Hours and salary (inclusive of Distant Islands Allowance):
- Post 8344 — 37 hours per week — £30,369 to £33,186
- Post 0822 — 37 hours per week — £16,826 to £18,368
- Post 0826 — 37 hours per week — £18,878 to £20,628
- Post 0827 — 30 hours per week — £24,623 to £26,907
- Post 5566 — 37 hours per week — £24,388 to £25,561
- Post 5762 — 37 hours per week — £15,184 to £16,592
Salary for all posts includes Distant Islands Allowance. Appointment to the post will be on the first point of grade with annual incremental progression.
Responsibilities
You will work enthusiastically as a member of a team that promotes and supports adults with support needs to maximise their inclusion, independence and planned outcomes. This can be within a variety of settings and may include overnight support if necessary.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Understanding of the rights and responsibilities of people with support needs; ability to listen effectively and communicate clearly; ability to work as part of a team.
- SVQ Level III in Care (or equivalent). If not currently held, you must have the ability to undertake and achieve this qualification within 36 months after registration with the SSSC.
- Wearing and use of PPE is required.
- Membership of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme in respect of regulated work with adults.
