37 hours per week, Year Round, Permanent Position

£29,813 - £30,951 per annum, inclusive of £2,997 Distant Islands Allowance per annum

A School Technical Technician is sought to provide general support and to maintain and repair a wide variety of equipment in schools and provide practical support to technical teaching staff at Sgoil Lionacleit. You will liaise with the Head Teacher / PT Technical in Sgoil Lionacleit and the Senior Resources Officer for machinery repairs and maintenance and safety concerns.

You should have experience of working with machinery in a workshop environment, a knowledge of COSHH and safe storage of materials, and a knowledge of the reporting requirements under RIDDOR. You should also have basic engineering skills. A full current UK Driving licence is essential.

This post is subject to membership of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme as a legal requirement of a regulated role with Children.

Salary for the above post is inclusive of Distant Islands Allowance. Appointment to the post will be on the first point of grade with annual incremental progression.
