Cook in Charge, St Brendan's, Barra

35 hours per week, Permanent Position

Salary: Β£30,847 - Β£33,712 per annum, inclusive of Β£2,835 Distant Islands Allowance per annum.

A Cook in charge will be responsible for planning, preparing and arranging the serving of meals to users, taking into account choice, best value and food hygiene.

Requirements:

  • Understanding of the rights of others.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the CookSafe food safety management system.
  • Ability to work as part of a team, organized and thorough.
  • Current Food Hygiene Qualification or Elementary Food Hygiene Certificate with a commitment to achieving the Intermediate qualification.
  • Wearing and use of PPE.
  • Membership of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme for regulated work with children and adults.
