Advert Conditions Compliance Officer, Stornoway 37 hours per week, fixed term to March 2031 £39,844 – £43,992 per annum ( inclusive of £2,997 Distant Islands Allowance ) As Conditions Compliance Officer, within the Development Management team of the Planning service, you will monitor and oversee compliance with planning conditions and work closely with planning officers on the discharge of Planning Conditions for developments.

You will investigate planning related complaints and breaches of planning control for developments through to resolution in accordance with the Planning Enforcement Charter of Comhairle nan Eilean Siar and will ensure developer reporting schedules are adhered to.

You should understand compliance approaches including formal investigation, negotiation, adherence to timescales, enforcement protocols and the need for structured recording of actions and decisions taken.

You must be educated to HND level or equivalent with at least two years’ experience working in a regulatory environment in a role that requires analytical, investigative and regulatory skills.

You will have strong organisational skills with an ability to manage a varied, complex and sometimes high-volume caseload.

This role requires a full UK Driving Licence.

Appointment to the post is fixed term to March 2031.

Salary for the above post is inclusive of Distant Islands Allowance.

Appointment to the post will be on the first point of the grade.
