The predicted salary is between 18600 - 20500 Β£ per year.

18.5 hours per week, permanent

Β£21,590 - Β£23,336 per annum, including Distant Islands Allowance

The successful candidate will work as part of the Western Isles team of Community Learning & Development Workers delivering Community Learning & Development Services, in partnership with other agencies. You will take Comhairle wide responsibility for acting as lead worker in some aspect(s) of Community Learning & Development practice.

You must have good knowledge of Community Learning & Development principles and practice, along with monitoring and (self) evaluation in Community Learning & Development. You must have the ability to both work effectively and build rapport with young people and adults. You will be skilled in facilitating the development of community groups and the ability to work in partnership with other statutory or voluntary agencies.

It is essential that you hold a CLD Standards Council recognised Degree or Diploma in Community Learning & Development. A current full UK driving licence is essential. This post is subject to membership of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme as a legal requirement of a regulated role with Children and Adults.

Salary for the above post is inclusive of Distant Islands Allowance. Appointment to the post will be on the first point of the grade.
