What we are looking for: We are looking for a hands-on CAD Technician to support our engineering team with day-to-day drawing requirements across machinery, components, and site layout projects. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys practical, technical drawing work and wants to be involved in real-world engineering improvements.
Key responsibilities:
- Produce accurate 2D AutoCAD drawings for machinery, components, and fabrication.
- Complete measured surveys and translate them into clear technical drawings.
- Prepare layout drawings for floor plans, equipment positioning, and site changes.
- Work with the Engineering Manager to ensure drawings are correct.
- Support ongoing internal projects with quick, reliable drawing updates.
Knowledge and Experience:
- AutoCAD 2D experience is essential.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings.
- Experience drawing machinery or components (ideal).
- Good communication and ability to work with engineers and production staff.
- SolidWorks/Fusion 360 (desirable).
- Mechanical background (ideal).
Location: Stakehill Industrial Estate, Middleton M24 2RW, Manchester
Contract type: Full time, 37.5 hours per week
