The Corporate Affairs department in ComfortDelGro UK&I supports the Bus & Coach business in both its external and internal engagement. This team plays a critical role in shaping our brand, protecting our reputation, and ensuring that our narrative is effectively communicated to stakeholders. The Senior Stakeholder Engagement Officer will play a key role enabling timely and meaningful two-way engagement with decision makers through building relationships and programmes of activity that increase the profile and reputation of the UK&I business to support business objectives. They will support the Director of Corporate Affairs in delivering a professional and high-quality public affairs offer for the business, through face-to-face engagement programmes, events, consultation response support, stakeholder mapping, public affairs monitoring and reporting.
Main Responsibilities
- Engage and manage relationships with senior internal and external stakeholders, including government partners.
- Carry out stakeholder mapping, by identifying key individuals, groups, and organizations, understanding their interests and motivations to tailor communication accordingly.
- Collect stakeholder feedback, track engagement metrics, and create reports on stakeholder engagement activity and progress.
- Carry out public affairs monitoring to identify relevant policy announcements, consultation opportunities, and reputational issues.
- Co-ordinate and contribute to organisational responses to consultations, public inquiries, and policy developments.
- Prepare briefing materials, draft presentations, and organise events and visits.
- Support delivery of community investment programmes.
- Support the wider work of the corporate affairs team through internal and external research and liaison with partner organisations, including on responses to press enquiries.
- Support crisis and issue responses as part of the wider crisis management team and collaborating with the Director of Corporate Affairs and Group Corporate Affairs team as appropriate.
Essential Criteria
- Over 3 years of experience in stakeholder engagement or public affairs or within a complex, multi-stakeholder organisation/environment.
- Good relationship-building and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence diverse audiences.
- Experience in interpreting policy and political developments and assess and communicate their impact.
- Experience in delivering programmes of face-to-face engagement, including operational visits and events.
- Proven ability to produce high-quality written outputs for senior audiences at pace.
- Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, changing environment and skilled in managing competing priorities.

Hours of work: 38 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Salary: £50,000 pa
