An opportunity is available for a Technical Lead to work within our Transformation team.
Location: Sutton-in-Ashfield, UK
Hours of Work: 7:30am to 4:30pm, Monday to Thursday and 7:30am to 2:00pm on Friday, with a 30 minute unpaid meal break each day.
Your main responsibilities would be:
- Deliver against operational targets through problem solving and collaboration with Group Lead and other team members.
- Identify and deliver training in line with employee development plans.
- Support inductions and complete probationary period assessments.
- Promote and implement the following: Zero Incident Workplace Culture, Manufacturing Process Design, Manufacturing Value Stream Success Factors and Continuous Improvement, Manufacturing Strategy Development and Execution, EBS Tool Integration, Business Systems and Practices, Program Management.
- Monitor and improve operational flow to deliver high levels of efficiency along with eliminating waste.
- Timely and accurate processing of information and data.
- Develop pareto analysis of failures to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Assist Group Lead in day to day responsibilities and workload planning.
- Support relationships with other teams and work collaboratively with key stakeholders (e.g. Supply Chain, Planning, Quality and Engineering).
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years manufacturing experience.
Skills:
- Experience of programming, setting and operating CNC lathes and machines.
- Experience of mould machines.
- Comfortable reading and understanding technical drawings.
- Good level of tooling knowledge.
- Use of inspection equipment.
- In depth knowledge and understanding of the technical process in order to overcome operational issues.
- SAP knowledge preferred.
- Good communicator, a team-player, able to motivate others.
- Able to plan, organise and prioritise own and others workload.
- A proven problem-solver who can share learning with others.
