Would you be interested in working in a production environment where you will play a pivotal role in ensuring our goods and services are produced efficiently, at the right cost and level of quality?

We are seeking a Stores/Goods-in Operative to join our production team in Wickford. This role will work on a day shift, 40 hours per week (8am - 4.30pm).

Leidos supplies the automotive industry with special purpose tooling and equipment including jigs and fixtures used in car manufacturing. You’ll join a small team playing a pivotal role in the production process, ensuring all materials and parts meet our standards when they come in, and finished goods are shipped correctly when they go out.

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the day to day running of the stores, goods in/out area.
  • Packing, documentation and Shipping of products.
  • Understand the Quality Management System Quality Brief.
  • Receiving materials, performing quality and quantity checks and booking them in to the stock system.
  • Putting together kits for production.
  • Assist in the loading/unloading of delivery vehicles.
About you
  • Some experience in either an engineering stores or warehouse environment.

  • Ability to constructively challenge proposed operational and workplace needs to ensure efficient and effective use of resources.

Due to the nature of our business, you must be able to obtain and maintain BPSS security clearance.

At Leidos, we don’t want someone who "fits the mold"—we want someone who melts it down and builds something better. This is a role for the restless, the over-caffeinated, the ones who ask, “what’s next?” before the dust settles on “what’s now.” If you’re already scheming step 20 while everyone else is still debating step 2… good. You’ll fit right in.
