We’re the team behind the UK’s telecom networks—building, upgrading, and keeping the country connected! From fibre installs to 5G rollouts, we make it happen with innovation, speed, and a smile. If you love a challenge and want to be part of something big, Comex 2000 is the place to be.

Step into a role where your telecoms expertise truly makes an impact. At Comex 2000, we’re looking for a Cable Supervisor who thrives in the field, leads from the front, and knows how to get the best out of their teams.

You’ll take ownership of site performance, safety culture and delivery quality — ensuring every build is completed efficiently, safely and to the highest standard. If you’re driven, organised and ready to push performance forward, this is the place for you.

Your impact

  • Lead high‑performing crews — setting daily expectations, coordinating multiple workstreams, and driving productivity across cabling, fibre and civils activities to keep programmes on schedule.
  • Champion safety — embedding a strong safety culture through Near Miss and Positive Intervention reporting, ensuring crews complete daily risk assessments, and enforcing safe‑to‑work procedures.
  • Deliver quality builds — ensuring all cabling, splicing and installation works meet client specifications, Openreach/VMO2/CityFibre standards, and internal QA requirements.
  • Strengthen team culture — providing clear communication, hands‑on leadership and coaching to build trust, improve morale and maintain consistent performance across all crews.
  • Own your projects end‑to‑end — managing documentation, DSRs, as‑builts, Box‑to‑Box schematics, van/tooling audits, and ensuring all deliverables are accurate, timely and compliant.
  • Hit every KPI and SLA — monitoring progress daily, resolving blockers quickly, and ensuring productivity, quality, reinstatement and compliance targets are consistently achieved.
  • Drive continuous improvement — identifying inefficiencies, challenging existing processes, and working with Management to implement smarter, safer and more cost‑effective delivery methods.

Requirements

  • Telecoms experience — ideally in fibre, cabling or civils, with a solid understanding of PIA, ducting, cabling routes, network build stages and field delivery challenges.
  • Leadership and communication — the ability to motivate crews, give clear direction, manage conflict, and communicate effectively with both field teams and management.
  • Strong organisational skills — capable of managing multiple sites, tracking progress, prioritising workloads and maintaining accurate documentation under pressure.
  • Digital competence — comfortable using tablets, reporting apps, safe‑to‑work systems, digital drawings and project management tools.
  • Industry accreditations — NRSWA, EUSR or SSSTS are highly desirable and demonstrate strong safety and compliance awareness.
  • Full UK driving licence — held for at least one year, enabling travel between sites and supporting field‑based leadership.

Benefits

  • Make a Real Difference: Your expertise will directly impact the rollout of groundbreaking telecoms projects, keeping Virgin Media at the forefront of the industry.
  • Be Part of a Winning Team: Collaborate with a passionate and supportive team who share your drive for excellence.
  • Embrace Continuous Learning: We invest heavily in your development, offering ongoing training and opportunities to expand your skillset.
  • Unlock Your Potential: Enjoy a career path brimming with possibilities, where your contributions are valued and rewarded.
  • Great Benefits: Competitive salary, pension scheme & heavily discounted Virgin Media products.
