We’re the team behind the UK’s telecom networks - building, upgrading, and keeping the country connected. From fibre installs to 5G rollouts, we make it happen with innovation, pace, and precision. With continued growth and major contract wins, we’re looking for a Finance Business Partner to play a critical role in shaping performance and supporting decision‑making across the business. This isn’t a back‑office role. You’ll be at the heart of operations, partnering with senior leaders, challenging performance, and driving commercial outcomes. If you enjoy influencing decisions, working at pace, and turning data into insight - this is your opportunity to make a real impact. You’ll also be joining a highly supportive leader who invests in people, encourages autonomy, and treats colleagues like grown‑ups - giving you the space to take ownership and develop.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Partner with Divisional Operating Directors to support, challenge, and improve financial and operational performance.
  • Take ownership of P&L insight, ensuring strong cost control and accurate revenue recognition.
  • Deliver clear, forward‑looking reporting — weekly and monthly — highlighting risks, opportunities, and performance trends.
  • Produce insightful variance analysis, translating numbers into actions.
  • Develop and track operational KPIs and drivers to support proactive decision‑making.
  • Lead budgeting and forecasting processes, providing robust challenge and commercial insight.
  • Conduct deep‑dive analysis into key issues, risks, and performance gaps.
  • Drive improvements in financial reporting, controls, and governance.
  • Build strong, credible relationships across the business — becoming a trusted advisor, not just a reporter of numbers.

Requirements:

About you:

  • Fully qualified accountant (ACCA / CIMA / ACA), part‑qualified or qualified by experience also considered.
  • Experience in finance business partnering, FP&A, or a strong finance analyst background.
  • A forward‑thinking mindset — focused on insight, improvement, and influencing outcomes (not just reporting).
  • Proven ability to support or influence P&L performance in a commercial environment.
  • Strong analytical capability with experience in financial modelling and forecasting.
  • Confident challenging and influencing stakeholders at different levels.
  • Excellent relationship‑building skills — this role is as much about how you work with people as what you produce.
  • Highly organised and comfortable operating in a fast‑paced, evolving environment.

Why join Comex 2000?

  • Be part of a business going through significant growth and transformation.
  • Work closely with operational leaders and have real influence on business performance.
  • Join a team that values ownership, trust, and flexibility.
  • Work for a supportive line manager who actively develops their team.
  • Opportunity to step into a visible, high‑impact role and make your mark quickly.
