Are you a highly skilled and motivated telecommunications professional looking to take on a new challenge?
We are looking for Self Employed FTTH Engineer. We\βre a leading provider in the telecommunications sector, specialising in the installation and maintenance of cutting-edge fibre and legacy networks. This is a hands-on role for an individual who is passionate about building robust connectivity and delivering exceptional customer service.
Role
Self Employed FTTH Engineer. This is a comprehensive, hands-on position where you will interact with both residential and business customers. You will be responsible for the end-to-end installation and maintenance of telecommunications services, working with everything from Full Fibre to Copper and HFC networks.
Responsibilities
- Network Build-Outs: You\βll be physically installing new telecommunications services, which involves significant manual labour. This includes running overhead lines on utility poles, subducting protective ducts underground, and using compressed air to blow new fibre optic lines through them.
- Customer Installations: You will be the point of contact for our customers, performing internal cabling within their premises and ensuring the final activation and testing of new services are completed to the highest standard.
- Network Maintenance: You\βll be working directly with live network infrastructure, including cabinets, underground ducts, and poles. This includes identifying and clearing small blockages and completing minor network extensions as needed.
- Quality & Safety: You will be responsible for completing site-specific risk assessments, adhering to stringent health and safety protocols, and ensuring all equipment from power tools to test equipment meets safety standards. You\βll also perform minor restoration work, such as garden repairs, to leave the work site in pristine condition.
- Reporting & Administration: You\βll use internal systems, stage jobs, and document all changes and updates. You must ensure all workflow requirements are submitted in a timely manner.
