We’re now looking for a strategic and commercially minded Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) to join our growing HR team. This role is ideal for an experienced HR Business Partner who thrives in a fast-paced, operational environment and enjoys working closely with senior leaders to drive business performance through people.

As a trusted HR partner, you will collaborate with functional leaders to deliver effective people strategies, provide expert HR guidance, and support organisational growth. You’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the employee experience, driving engagement, and ensuring HR initiatives align with business objectives.

Covering key regions across the Midlands and the North, this is a highly visible, hands-on HRBP role with regular travel (1–2 days per week, including occasional overnight stays) to build strong relationships and stay close to the workforce.

If you’re passionate about influencing stakeholders, leading change, and delivering impactful HR solutions, this is an opportunity to make a real difference within a dynamic and evolving business.

What you’ll do:

  • Act as a strategic HR Business Partner, working closely with senior leaders to understand business priorities and deliver aligned people plans.
  • Provide expert HR advice and coaching to managers on employee relations, performance management, and complex people matters.
  • Drive employee engagement, retention, and organisational performance through targeted HR initiatives.
  • Support and lead performance management processes, including goal setting, reviews, and managing underperformance.
  • Analyse HR metrics, people data, and workforce trends to inform decision-making and workforce planning.
  • Lead and support organisational design and workforce planning, including structure reviews and role clarity.
  • Deliver key HR programmes including talent management, succession planning, learning & development, and diversity & inclusion (D&I).
  • Partner with Finance and leadership teams on headcount planning, budgeting, and labour cost management.
  • Champion continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance HR processes and systems.
  • Lead and contribute to HR transformation and change projects, including cultural initiatives and system implementations.
  • Build strong cross-functional relationships to ensure consistency and best practice across HR and the wider business.

Requirements:

About you:

  • Proven experience as a Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) or Senior HR Advisor in a fast-paced, multisite or operational environment.
  • Strong ability to influence, challenge, and coach senior stakeholders while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality.
  • Demonstrated expertise in employee relations, performance management, talent development, and organisational development.
  • Solid understanding of UK employment law, HR best practice, and compliance.
  • Experienced in delivering people strategies aligned to commercial business goals.
  • Confident using HR data and analytics to drive insight and improve decision-making.
  • Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management skills across all levels.
  • Resilient, adaptable, and able to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Experience supporting business change, transformation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Awareness of digital HR tools and AI-driven solutions to enhance HR delivery and employee experience.
