Are you a hands-on, highly skilled FTTH (fibre to th home) Engineer ready to be at the forefront of connecting homes and businesses to the UK\'s next-generation network?
Comex 2000 is looking for dedicated and experienced FTTH Engineers to install and maintain cutting-edge fibre optic, services for residential customers. This is a comprehensive, challenging, and highly rewarding field-based role that puts you right at the heart of our network build and customer activation.
You\'ll be the face of Comex 2000, ensuring every customer gets a seamless, fully functional service.
Your day-to-day will involve significant physical labour, including:
* Cable Installation: Heavy cable pulling, subducting (placing protective ducts underground), and using specialised techniques like blowing fibre through ducts with compressed air
* Infrastructure Work: Working directly with network infrastructure including cabinets, underground ducts, and spanning overhead lines on utility poles (PIA network expertise is key).
* Customer-Facing Service: Performing internal cabling within homes and businesses, customer activation, final testing, and ensuring a \'Right First Time\' quality standard.
* Site Restoration: Completing minor reinstatement and garden repairs to leave the work site in excellent order.
* Safety & Compliance: A strict focus on Health & Safety, meticulous site-specific risk assessments, and adherence to all safety standards for tools and equipment.
Key Responsibilities
* Installation and testing of end-user products across all common telecommunication networks (Full Fibre).
* Professional conduct and excellent customer care skills when interacting with service providers, end users, and the public.
* Timely and accurate completion of all workflow requirements, recording changes, updates, and task closures on internal and client systems.
* Delivering on key KPI’s and productivity measures.
Do You Have What It Takes? (Skills & Qualifications)
This role is for an experienced professional with a proven track record in telecommunications field work.
Essential Requirements:
* Sound practical knowledge of different types of telecommunication networks.
* NRSWA SLG and PIA Accredited.
* Knowledge of both overhead and underground infrastructure on the PIA network.
* Sound practical experience using power tools (e.g., drills, Stihl saw, and compressors).
* Must hold a Full UK Driving License.
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to work to deadlines in all weather conditions.
* Desirable Certifications (a strong advantage):
* A001, S8, SA051C, SA002, SA007, S7, N022, SA020, N037, K008
