The Civils Operative will be required to performexcavations, repairs and re-reinstatements, installation of ducting, chambersand street cabinets and the installation of draw rope on telecomsinfrastructure located within the public highway and customers premises usingup to date client standard operating procedures and in full compliance tocurrent legislation, health and safety requirements and company policies.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

  • To ensure all works are completed as required whilst the team areworking within the required guidelines and processes.
  • Operate manual and mechanical equipment.
  • Ensure all SLG set up meets the Streetworks requirements and all sitesare 100% compliant.
  • Reinstate to industry standard ensuring all information / pictures arecaptured on company supplied assets.
  • Be competent in the use of Stihl Saws / Wacker plates / trench compactor andhold the correct certification to complete the works.
  • Complete the required paperwork for your daily work tasks (job sheets /risk assessments / plant sheets / van sheets).
  • Experience of risk assessment and hazard identification and a strongfocus on health and safety requirements and responsibilities.
  • To be responsible for the company assets & plant assigned to you forthe purpose of performing your duties.
  • Ensure compliance with all current client processes and procedures.
  • Be able to communicate effectively and professionally with internal andexternal clients.
  • Complete all project related works on time and meet client committeddates for delivery of the works.
  • Be prepared to carry out works on other workstreamswhen required and instructed by the business.

  • Towing and 7.5 tonne licence essential
