At Comex 2000, we're the team behind the UK's telecoms networks, delivering critical infrastructure projects across fibre, network build and maintenance.
Due to significant contract growth, we're looking for a hands-on HR Business Partner to support a newly expanded workforce across a larger geographical region.
This is not a traditional HRBP role.
We're looking for someone who is comfortable rolling their sleeves up, spending time in the operation, building relationships with frontline managers and helping to establish strong people foundations in a fast-paced telecoms environment.
You'll partner closely with
Heads of Delivery and Operations Directors , supporting a business going through significant change, growth and transformation.
The environment is commercially demanding, with a strong focus on productivity, labour costs, operational performance, profitability and customer delivery.
Initially, success in this role will be about getting the basics right, building credibility with leaders, improving people processes, managing complex employee relations issues and supporting managers to lead their teams effectively.
- What You'll Be Doing
- Partnering with Heads of Delivery and Operations Directors across a large operational workforce.
- Providing practical HR support on employee relations, performance, absence and conduct matters.
- Supporting a business through significant organisational change and transformation.
- Challenging and coaching managers to improve team performance and accountability.
- Spending time within operational teams to understand business challenges firsthand.
- Supporting workforce planning and organisational effectiveness.
- Using people data and insight to drive business performance.
- Ensuring people decisions support commercial objectives, cost control and profitability.
- Driving consistency, compliance and best practice across your business areas.

Requirements
What We're Looking For
- Proven HR Business Partner experience within a fast-paced operational environment.
- Experience supporting senior operational leaders.
- Strong employee relations and case management experience.
- Comfortable working in challenging, commercially focused environments.
- Experience supporting organisational change and business transformation.
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.
- Commercially minded with an understanding of productivity, labour costs and performance.
- Resilient, pragmatic and willing to challenge when required.
- Telecommunications, utilities, engineering, infrastructure or construction experience would be highly advantageous.
