We are looking forSelf Employed FTTH (Fibre to theHome) Engineers to work on the Openreach network with both residential andbusiness customers, handling the full installation and maintenance of telecomservices. You’ll work across Full Fibre networks, delivering end-to-endsolutions.

  • K8 - Hand Rod & Rope
  • NRSWA SLG
  • PIA

About you

  • Qualifications:NRSWASLG and PIA Accreditations are preferable. You must have experience withboth overhead and underground PIA networks. Additional accreditations suchas A001, S8, SA051C, SA002, SA007, S7, N022, SA020, N037, and K008 arehighly desirable.
  • TechnicalSkills:Strong practical knowledge of telecom networks,proficiency with power tools and basic IT skills for using mobile jobmanagement apps.
  • Communication& Customer Care:Excellent communication skills and aprofessional approach when dealing with customers, the public, andstakeholders.

Requirements

What’s involved

  • Network Build-outs: Install new telecomservices by running overhead lines on utility poles, subducting protectiveducts underground, all involving hands-on, physical work.
  • Customer installations: Visit our customers’homes or businesses to set up internal cabling and make sure their newservices are working perfectly.
  • Network Maintenance:Work with livenetwork infrastructures— ducts, and poles
  • Quality & Safety:Follow strictsafety procedures, and ensure all equipment is safe to use. You’ll alsohelp restore sites, leaving every location clean and safe for ourcustomers.
  • Reporting & Admin: Use our systems to record your work andkeep information up to date in a timely manner.

Payments under CIS:
Tax will be deducted from your pay before you receive it, and the contractorwill pay this directly to HMRC on your behalf.
