Overview
As Project Manager, you will lead end-to-end customer migrations to Comcast Business, coordinating multi-site network deployments. You act as the main delivery contact, guiding cross-functional teams through SD-WAN, MPLS, VPLS, and broadband/4G/5G connectivity projects. You’ll translate complex tech into clear plans, manage scope and risks, and ensure smooth handover to operations. This role offers impact in transforming customer networks while aligning with our delivery and quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Lead customer-facing network projects from mobilisation to handover.
- Manage scope, schedules, budgets, quality, dependencies and outcomes.
- Serve as primary delivery contact for enterprise customers and communicate clearly with all stakeholders.
- Coordinate architects, engineers, suppliers, carriers, and operations for SD-WAN, WAN and connectivity solutions.
- Develop and manage implementation/migration plans including testing and rollback.
- Lead phased migrations and out-of-hours change windows with risk-aware planning.
- Maintain plans, RAID, forecasts and change controls; escalate issues early.
- Provide governance and concise progress reporting to customers and senior stakeholders.
- Define service-readiness criteria and oversee migration acceptance and handover to BAU.
Key requirements
- Proven project management experience delivering customer-facing network or telecoms projects at enterprise scale.
- Experience coordinating SD-WAN, WAN, broadband, Ethernet or mobile connectivity; Fortinet or Cisco Meraki knowledge is relevant.
- Knowledge of MPLS, VPLS, routing, NAT, QoS, ACLs, VLANs and overlay/underlay design.
- Experience planning and delivering customer migrations with phased implementation, dual-running, testing and rollback.
- Understanding of UK telecommunications delivery, including site readiness and carrier dependencies.
- Strong project controls, including planning, critical path, forecasting, RAID, governance and change control.
- Ability to interpret network diagrams and collaborate with technical specialists.
- Strong written and verbal communication to influence senior stakeholders.
- Commercial awareness in budgets, suppliers and contractual commitments.
