Job Summary
We are looking for a passionate and collaborative attorney to join our dynamic Legal Privacy and Information Security group. This role reports to the Deputy General Counsel / DPO Privacy and Legal Information Security and supports Comcast Cable’s global privacy and information security program by providing legal counsel and subject matter expertise.

Core Responsibilities
- Handle privacy and information security related inquiries from various groups across the company, providing actionable advice and legal counsel to facilitate compliance with policies, standards, laws and best practices.
- Evaluate Comcast programs and initiatives considering applicable privacy and information security requirements.
- Work closely with enterprise and business unit stakeholders to embed privacy and information security principles into business plans and strategic initiatives during design and execution.
- Assist in creation, maintenance, and implementation of policies, processes, data inventories and records of processing, and related documentation.
- Review company practices to ensure consistency with existing policies and internal governance documents.
- Monitor, summarize and help implement relevant requirements driven by developments in privacy and information security laws, regulations, standards, and best practices in the UK, EU and other jurisdictions (including GDPR, ePrivacy Directive, NIS2, Cyber Resilience Act, DAA, NAI).
- Provide practical, proactive legal counsel on privacy and information security issues, including data governance, retention, minimization, and incident response.
- Advise on post‑acquisition privacy and information security integration efforts for newly acquired entities.
- Assist with Privacy Impact and Risk Assessments for new businesses and initiatives involving personal data.
- Conduct awareness and training efforts as needed to increase employee understanding of policies, data handling, and legal obligations.
- Support the Data Protection Officer work.

Skills and Experience
- Minimum 3‑5 years combined legal experience at a top firm or in‑house, with 1‑3 years of privacy and information security experience.
- Experience with European and UK privacy and security legislation (GDPR, ePrivacy Directive, NIS2, Cyber Resilience Act) and global privacy frameworks.
- Demonstrated transactional experience drafting and negotiating privacy and data protection agreements.
- Experience conducting privacy impact assessments and advising on legal requirements.
- Ability to interpret complex legal, regulatory, and technical requirements and translate into practical business guidance.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines with high quality.
- Ability to work independently with moderate supervision.
- Ability to work effectively with colleagues, management and operations personnel.
- Pragmatic, risk‑based approach and collaborative mindset.
- Strong academic credentials.
- Regular, consistent and punctual attendance.
- Recognised privacy or cyber security qualification such as CIPP/E preferred.
- Experience with privacy management platforms and productivity tools such as Copilot and Harvey advantageous.
- Position based in London with potential European and US travel.
