Key Responsibilities
- Ensure the timely and accurate maintenance of financial accounts in compliance with Australian Accounting Standards.
- Oversee budget, month-end, and year-end financial processes.
- Financial Reporting and Compliance: Ensure compliance with Australian Accounting Standards, manage expense cards, review creditor payment files, reconcile balance sheet accounts, manage capital works reconciliation, prepare monthly and annual financial reports, ensure readiness for audits, and prepare government financial reports.
- Budgeting: Prepare and revise budgets, assist budget holders with budget analysis and management, and produce monthly department reports.
- Tax Compliance and Cash Management: Ensure correct GST treatment, complete BAS and FBT returns, manage cash flow and banking, conduct ad hoc financial analysis, and maintain finance policies.

About You

- Demonstrated understanding of appropriate behaviours when engaging with children
- 3+ years of financial accounting experience
- Intermediate/advanced Microsoft Excel skills and proficiency in data entry
- Experience working in a school and familiarity with Synergetic
- Bachelor's Degree in accounting (Commerce or Business)
- CPA or CA
