Haileybury is seeking an experienced Campus Nurse to support the health, safety and wellbeing of our students at our Brighton campus. This is a part time, ongoing position working on Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays during school terms only. Hours of work required are:
- Monday: 9am to 2.30pm
- Tuesday: 9am to 2.30pm
- Fridays: 8.20 to 4.00pm

The role: As a Campus Nurse, you will be the first point of contact for student health matters, providing high quality clinical care and responding confidently to medical emergencies. This is a hands-on role, working on campus during school terms, commencing Term 2 2026, or as soon as possible within the Term 2.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the Campus Health Centre, including medical supplies and equipment for camps, excursions and sport
- Provide first aid and clinical nursing care, including triage of injuries and medical emergencies
- Liaise with students, families, staff and external stakeholders on health related matters
- Act as a key contact with medical practitioners, hospitals and relevant authorities
- Maintain accurate health records and daily attendance logs
- Supervise and document medication administration in line with school guidelines
- Support students with individual health needs such as asthma, anaphylaxis and diabetes
- Ensure health data and systems are accurately recorded and maintained
Skills & Experience: You will bring:
- High level communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team
- Experience of working with children from a culturally and/or linguistically diverse background
- Previous Paediatric and/or Emergency Department Hospital nursing experience
- Experience using systems such as Synergetic, CompliSpace, or similar injury reporting and record keeping systems will be highly regarded
Academic Qualifications: A Division 1 Registered Nurse with AHPRA (Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency). Maintaining annual updates in:
- Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) – Course HLTAID009
- Asthma Crisis Management – Course 22282 VIC
