A leading medical equipment organisation is expanding its UK commercial team and is looking to appoint a National Business Development Manager to lead the launch of an exciting new range of prehospital medical equipment. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing business at an important stage of its development, with responsibility for introducing a high quality, competitively priced product range into the UK market. The products have been developed to address key challenges faced by prehospital clinicians, with a strong focus on improving clinical practice, patient safety and outcomes.
The business already has an established presence within the market and strong relationships across the prehospital sector, providing a solid platform from which to develop new opportunities. We are looking for someone who is proactive, commercially driven and highly organised, with the ability to build relationships, identify opportunities and manage complex sales processes through to completion. The role will also involve supporting another growing area of the business, working alongside the wider commercial team to develop and convert demand for a market-leading resuscitation solution sold into hospitals.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the launch and commercial development of the new prehospital product range in the UK.
- Identify, develop and convert new business opportunities across the UK market.
- Build strong relationships with key clinical, procurement and commercial stakeholders.
- Manage longer term sales cycles, typically ranging from 6-18 months.
- Work closely with internal teams to support the product launch, evaluations, trials and implementations.
- Support the wider commercial team in developing opportunities for the company’s wider portfolio.
- Travel throughout the UK as required to meet customers, attend demonstrations, exhibitions and other commercial activities.
Requirements
- Current or recent experience selling medical equipment or life saving medical equipment solutions into the prehospital/EMS market.
- Alternatively, experience within another relevant area of medical equipment combined with a strong clinical background such as a paramedic, resuscitation officer or similar healthcare professional.
- A proven, proactive approach to business development and new customer acquisition.
- Experience managing complex sales cycles, ideally within the 6-18 month range.
- Strong organisational, communication and relationship building skills.
- The flexibility and willingness to travel throughout the UK as required.
- Full legal right to live and work in the UK.
