Due to continued growth, our client is looking to recruit a Technical Services Manager – Modular Buildings. This role acts as the Principal Designer under the Building Safety Act for modular construction projects, coordinating design activities to manage and reduce building safety risks and ensure statutory compliance across off‑site manufacturing and on‑site installation.
Responsibilities
- Act as Principal Designer under the Building Safety Act for modular construction projects.
- Coordinate design activities and manage building safety risks.
- Ensure statutory compliance across off‑site manufacture and on‑site installation.
- Collaborate with the Design and Estimating teams to support initial designs and pricing.
- Adapt existing buildings and develop them further through client discussions and commercial approvals.
- Oversee projects ranging from £500,000 to £15,000,000, ensuring smooth delivery, on‑time completion, and high quality.
- Support career progression opportunities within the company.
Qualifications & Experience
- Proven technical expertise in Modular Buildings, Timber Frame Buildings, Steel‑Framed Buildings, Bathroom Pods, or SIPS Panels.
- Or strong technical experience in Main Contracting / Traditional Build.
- Demonstrated track record working on the technical side of a modular construction or related firm.
- Knowledge of Building Regulation compliant solutions and design.
- Ability to work independently, be self‑sufficient, and drive project success.
- Flexibility, gravitas, and a strong drive to succeed.
