Role Overview
Operating within a fast‑paced environment this role is responsible for the planning and scheduling of job orders, ensuring efficiency and cost‑effectiveness whilst providing a first‑class service to our customers. The role will require teamwork and liaison closely with all stakeholders in the business and assist daily in managing targets and workflows effectively.
Requirements
The Construction Supervisor will have responsibility and accountability for coordinating operations, managing direct labour and sub‑contractors, whilst advocating safety standards, practices and protocols ensuring they are adhered to at all times. Success in the role will be ensuring all contract work is compliant, in line with client KPI requirements and internal targets to ensure excellent service delivery is achieved to specification, and within cost budgets.
- Assisting with the organising of jobs for the operations team; reviewing diaries, material requirements and all overall operational aspects of the contract daily
- Responsible for ensuring Health and Safety standards and protocols are maintained with onsite teams, completing H&S audits, accident reporting and toolbox talk delivery
- Central point of contact for Senior Managers along with administration personnel for all work/queries relating to service delivery
- Daily communication with the operational Planners to enable effective work planning, ensuring flow of work instructions are allocated to appropriate sub‑contractors or direct labour
- Liaising with and managing sub‑contractor relations, and performance ensuring quality and performance standards are being met in line with service delivery
- Ensure job numbers and progress is monitored & presented at Daily Huddles & that all works are completed on or ahead of target, requesting necessary variations or extensions in a timely manner
- Tracking rejected jobs, investigating internally to provide information & explanation for job notes
- Analysing work instruction and SORs to ensure correct codes are being issued, to ensure correct value of work ahead of works being signed off as complete
- Attend all required meetings, ensuring that information for reporting is up to date and accurate
- Provide leadership and direction to the operation teams within the depot, driving accountability and ensuring people process adherence at all times
- Carry out thorough Pre & Post Inspection Surveys to agree measurements and application of SORs
- Liaising regularly with client Maintenance Officers on any queries or amended works
- Ensure works are completed via operative PDA (Accumobile) and Orchard system is accurately updated with all relevant information being readily available for admin and QSs
- Provide support, guidance and training to direct labour & sub‑contractor staff, including training of new staff
- To perform the job in accordance with the company’s policies and procedures
- Any other duties deemed necessary to ensure successful delivery of all works within the CFM workstream
