Installation Engineer

Combat Fire Ltd have an opportunity for a skilled electrician who has worked with steel containment to join our rapidly growing business and team of engineers installing automatic fire suppression systems.

Great opportunity for electrical/engineer to use their existing skills and progress to the installation of automatic fire extinguishing systems on specialist risks with a first class company that really values their employees. We have a great team ethos and constantly strive to be the best in our field.

Start date to be agreed

This is a full-time, permanent role that entails travel and staying away although this is mainly restricted to the UK during the week. We currently have projects in London, Milton Keynes, Essex, Bradford, South Wales, Edinburgh and more.

Our head office and warehouse are based in Leighton Buzzard.

What you will learn in this role

This is a progressive opportunity where the role requires electrical and mechanical skills. However, the successful candidate will be provided with extensive in house and onsite training regarding any system specific skills/requirements that may be needed.

Salary

£38,000.00 – £42,000 depending on experience per annum plus benefits.

Essential requirements

  • Driving Licence

Desirable Skills

  • The ability to understand and install from design drawings
  • JIB Approved Electrician – preferably
  • Experience working on Industrial/Commercial installations.
  • Good Time Management skills and the proficiency to work to strict deadlines.
  • High level of Self-motivation, since some jobs will only require a single operative.
  • Good writing/language skills – be able to complete all required documentation in a neat and coherent manner.
  • Adaptable and willing to learn new skills.
  • Complete works to high standard following applicable British Standards.
  • Ability to take initiative.
  • Computer literate and experience on Windows.
  • Good communicator, both with our clients and within the team.

Nice To Have Skills

  • Knowledge of British Standards relating to Fire Systems.
  • Any additional industrial related electrical qualifications.
  • Experience working with Microsoft, Android tablets and phones.
  • Experience with Pumps & Motors
  • Experience on control circuits and 3 phase motors
