Installation Engineer role at Combat Fire Limited
Base pay range: £38,000.00 – £42,000.00 per annum plus benefits.
This is a full-time, permanent role that involves travel and occasional stay away, primarily within the UK. Projects are located in London, Milton Keynes, Essex, Bradford, South Wales, Edinburgh and more. The head office and warehouse are based in Leighton Buzzard.
About the role
We are looking for a skilled electrician with experience in steel containment to join our rapidly growing business and team of engineers installing automatic fire suppression systems.
Responsibilities include the installation of automatic fire extinguishing systems on specialist risks, using your electrical and mechanical skills. The successful candidate will receive extensive in‑house and on‑site training regarding any system‑specific skills or requirements that may be needed.

- JIB Approved Electrician – preferably
- Experience working on industrial/commercial installations
- Good time‑management skills and the proficiency to work to strict deadlines
- High level of self‑motivation, since some jobs will require a single operative
- Good writing/language skills – able to complete all required documentation in a neat and coherent manner
- Adaptable and willing to learn new skills
- Complete works to a high standard following applicable British Standards
- Ability to take initiative
- Computer literate with experience on Windows
- Good communicator, both with clients and within the team
Nice to have skills
- Knowledge of British Standards relating to fire systems
- Any additional industrial‑related electrical qualifications
- Experience working with Microsoft, Android tablets and phones
- Experience with pumps & motors
