Ofcom is seeking up to two non‑executive members to help shape regulation for the evolving communications landscape. Applicants with experience in video streaming, podcasting, independent production and content creation are encouraged to apply.

The Content Board, a committee of Ofcom’s Main Board, understands, analyses and champions the interests of viewers, listeners and citizens. It advises the Ofcom Board on content matters, including the intersection of broadcast, video‑on‑demand, and online‑safety regulatory regimes.

Responsibilities

  • Attend up to six committee meetings per year, mainly in London.
  • Contribute to advisory opinions on content standards decisions.
  • Provide specialist advice to the Executive when required.
  • Act in accordance with the Board’s Code of Conduct and Seven Principles of Public Life.

Time Commitment and Remuneration

The role requires a commitment of four days a month and carries an annual fee of £16,800. Members are paid under PAYE.
