We are looking for a brilliant, experienced Housekeeper to help run a busy family home near South East London. This is a hands-on role for someone who genuinely loves housekeeping, keeping a home organised, and making life run smoothly.
The family already has a cleaner twice a week, so your role will be keeping the house tidy and organised day-to-day, managing laundry and ironing, keeping the fridge and cupboards stocked (Ocado orders), cooking simple family meals (we use Mindful Chef a lot – plus the occasional shepherd’s pie!), walking the dog, and generally making sure the house runs smoothly.
You’ll also occasionally let in contractors, help arrange things if something breaks, book the odd appointment (dentist, MOT, etc.), and be the person who keeps everything ticking along nicely.
We are looking for someone who is proactive, practical, organised, and takes real pride in running a home. Someone who notices what needs doing without being asked. Driver preferred. Occasionally we may ask you to babysit in the evening or stay over for a weekend if we are away, so flexibility is appreciated.
You must:
- Have previous private household housekeeping experience
- Live close to South East London
- Be organised, reliable, and proactive
- Be happy cooking simple family meals
- Be dog friendly
- Ideally be a driver
- Be happy helping the household run smoothly
This is a lovely role for someone who truly enjoys being a housekeeper and taking care of a home.
