About the role:
As our Mechanical Estimator (Small Works) you will join a supportive team to work on diverse and technically interesting commercial plumbing and heating projects. The working hours for this role will be Monday Friday, 8-hour shifts.
Main duties and responsibilities:
- Support estimating activities for commercial plumbing and heating projects
- Review plans and specifications to understand project scope
- Perform quantity take-offs and develop cost estimates
- Assist in preparing bids and tender submissions
- Attend site visits to assess project conditions
- Maintain accurate cost and supplier databases
- Learn industry standards and stay up to date with pricing trends relate to commercial plumbing and heating
About you:
As a Mechanical Estimator (Small Works), you will be ideally need anything from 0- 2 years of experience in estimating, construction, or mechanical systems. Come with a basic understanding of mechanical systems such as commercial plumbing and heating. A strong attention to detail with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Be proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel). Previous experience with estimating software (Ensign or similar) is desirable. Preferably have exposure to mechanical subcontracting or general contracting projects within commercial plumbing and heating, but this is not essential.
