Our engineer-to-order environment needs a hands-on electrical leader who can set the bar for quality and speed without compromising safety. You’ll orchestrate daily work in the electrical assembly area, teach best practices, and jump in to wire, test, and troubleshoot. When priorities shift, you’ll realign the plan, expedite critical orders, and coordinate across cells to keep commitments.
Your mission
- Execute and lead electrical assembly: perform panel wiring and component installs; enforce compliance with electrical standards and codes.
- Own the routine: structure task rotations and guide daily Gemba board reviews to reinforce focus and uncover improvements.
- Be the connector: collaborate with the Supervisor, Production Manager, team leads, and individual cells to meet on-time delivery goals.
- Develop talent: act as the primary trainer for the ETO electrical assembly team; pinpoint training needs and build capability.
- Remove obstacles: diagnose and resolve electrical issues quickly and safely.
- Champion 5S: keep daily and weekly 5S practices on track.
- Flex and respond: expedite urgent orders and assist other departments when demand surges.
- Protect safety: work incident-free and model safe behaviors at all times.
- Partner internally: support Facilities with in-house wiring and electrical projects.
- Support broadly: perform related duties and assist mechanical departments as required.
Capabilities and knowledge
- Skilled with electrical power tools, test equipment, and hand tools.
- Strong grasp of safety regulations and safe work practices.
- Ability to read/interpret schematics, electrical prints, and mechanical blueprints.
- Electrical/mechanical aptitude; experience with high/low voltage wiring and gate logic.
- Understanding of ESD-safe handling procedures.
- Leadership and communication strengths; able to coach and motivate.
- Comfort with abstract problem-solving and shifting priorities.
- Analytical, organized, detail-focused; basic computer proficiency.
Qualifications
- Journeyman Electrician Card with 3+ years’ experience, or 10+ years of industrial electrician experience.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior lead experience preferred.
- Epicor ERP familiarity is a plus.
- Exposure to SolidWorks and FactoryTalk is a plus.
- Able to safely lift/lower/push/pull up to 40 lbs.; capable of physically demanding work (lifting, climbing, varied environments).
Eligibility guidelines
- Proceed if you have two (2) or fewer “Inconsistent” ratings on your most recent performance review.
- Not eligible if you have three (3) or more “Inconsistent” ratings, any “Unsatisfactory” rating, or more than one (1) documented written warning in the last 12 months.
- Candidates on a final warning for attendance are not eligible.
