Job OverviewWe are looking for a Responsible Investment Analyst to join our Responsible Investment (RI) team. In this role you will research and engage with companies on sustainability topics, with a particular focus on social issues. You will produce written and verbal communication, including thought leadership and presentations to clients, and collaborate with research and technology teams.

Responsibilities

Establish and maintain an overall framework for assessing and engaging on coverage topics, focusing on social issues.

Undertake engagement with companies in collaboration with analysts and portfolio managers.

Record engagements accurately and in a timely manner.

Represent Columbia Threadneedle in collaborative initiatives where relevant.

Monitor active news and controversies, supporting UNGC breach monitoring and engagement activities.

Track and communicate market developments, regulatory changes, and client expectations.

Produce thought‐leadership content on coverage topics.

Collaborate with RI and technology teams to identify relevant data or metrics for client requests and portfolio analytics.

Join client meetings to present our thinking.

Qualifications & Skills

Experience in a sustainability role in finance, corporate sustainability or consultancy.

Knowledge of the asset‐management industry (advantage but not essential).

Strong sustainability knowledge, especially expertise in social topics such as human rights.

Strong analytical and research skills, with quantitative experience (particularly Excel) as a significant advantage.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience in company engagement and/or client presentations.

Demonstrated intellectual curiosity.

Ability to work autonomously and take ownership, and also collaborate effectively with a broader team to achieve shared goals.
