Job Description
We are recruiting for a Marketing Automation Manager for a 7‑month fixed‑term period. In this role you will support the delivery of a market‑leading and strategically aligned Marketing Automation capability, ensuring a robust, compliant, and scalable platform that plays a central role in connecting with prospects and clients. You will also create assets, manage controls and governance, and oversee other teams’ access to the Marketing Cloud Engagement platform.
How you’ll spend your time…
- Support development and maintenance of Columbia Threadneedle’s marketing automation platform and activities across all B2B and D2C channels.
- Deliver timely updates across various systems in line with risk appetite and policies, and raise awareness and understanding across Marketing Cloud users.
- Create marketing assets such as journeys, emails, landing pages, smart capture forms and data extensions, ensuring effective collaboration with marketing stakeholders and the Technology team.
- Build strong relationships with marketing, distribution, comms, investment, technology, compliance and legal teams to understand brief requirements, approval processes and manage stakeholders.
- Collaborate across the marketing team to support broader marketing strategy and key initiatives.
- Advocate appropriate use of marketing automation capability with an understanding of related CRM data.
To be successful in this role you will have…
- Proven experience with Marketing Cloud Engagement and key capabilities including Email Studio, Web Studio, Journey Builder, Content Builder and Audience Builder.
- Experience and knowledge of marketing automation platform management, campaign delivery and working with technology teams.
- Working knowledge of industry standard tools such as Salesforce CRM.
- Experience with lead generation and the role of email in integrated B2B campaigns.
- A good eye for detail.
- Proactivity and ownership.
- Strong written and verbal skills.

- Graduate or relevant professional qualification.
In‑Office Collaboration
We are a client‑centric, relationship‑based business. Working together in person is foundational to our results. Employees work in the office at least four days per week, with flexibility to work from home one day per week. Some roles may require additional in‑office time; specific requirements will be discussed during the hiring process.
