The Business Support Manager, Investments will support the Global Chief Investment Officer (CIO) and his Senior Investment Management Team across the Global Asset Management division.
Responsibilities
- Prepare papers for quarterly board meetings, coordinating across the department and liaising with other parts of the business to ensure alignment.
- Participate in various committee and Senior Manager Meetings, take minutes when required and track completion of actions and tasks either assigned to or by the Global CIO.
- Lead and support Investment projects and initiatives, such as drafting the CIO's quarterly newsletter, generating ideas and materials, and conducting research.
- Prepare materials for external media briefings and client events and review thought pieces on behalf of the Global CIO.
- Work with the Executive Assistant to the Global CIO to facilitate communication and coordination between the Global CIO, his Senior Leaders, and the broader Investment department.
- Ensure consistency of communications, timeliness of delivery, and suitable understanding of all relevant parties of requirements and expectations.
- Take the initiative to ensure the CIO's decisions and preferences are consistently carried across the remainder of the business, enhancing efficiency and effectiveness.
Qualifications
- Excellent organisation and time‐management skills.
- Absolute discretion with confidential information.
- A self‐starter and team‐player who can prioritise between conflicting deadlines.
- Ability to look ahead to anticipate material requirements and deadlines.
- Work with the Global CIO's Executive Assistant to pre‐empt and respond to queries on behalf of the Global CIO.
- Excellent stakeholder management, working with people across Global Investments and the wider business.
- Resilient and able to work in a fast‐paced environment.
- Strong with MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
- Articulate with effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Confident and comfortable with senior management.
- Capable of capturing and summarising relevant information.
- Understanding of asset management and financial markets is beneficial.
- Previous experience in SharePoint would be an advantage but is not essential.
