We are seeking an inspirational, strategic and highly effective Faculty Leader of Science and Social Sciences to provide outstanding leadership across the Science faculty at Colton Hills. This is an exciting opportunity for an exceptional middle leader with a proven track record of impact, ready to play a key role in whole-school improvement and to aspire to senior leadership. The role is part of the school’s new extended senior leadership team driving STEM activities. Responsibilities Lead and develop a high-quality, ambitious curriculum for Years 7–13. Drive improvements in student progress, attainment and attitudes to learning. Inspire, coach and develop staff through excellent leadership and modelling of outstanding practice. Use performance data to identify trends and implement targeted intervention strategies. Promote inclusive practice, ensuring the needs of SEND, EAL, disadvantaged and high‑attaining students are met. Contribute strategically to whole‑school priorities, including STEM development, numeracy and life skills. Lead quality assurance processes, including curriculum review, lesson observation and data analysis. Play a full role in the life, ethos and wider leadership of the school. Act as an outstanding classroom practitioner, using your own teaching as a model of excellence. Qualifications
