Make Every Day Special for Our Residents
Love chatting? Love making a real difference to someone’s day? We’re looking for a warm, creative, and enthusiastic Activity Coordinator to join our care home team. This is a rewarding role where you’ll play a big part in making each day enjoyable, meaningful, and fulfilling for our residents.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Creating a varied calendar of activities that reflects our residents’ interests from arts and crafts to quizzes, gardening, music, gentle exercise, and special events.
- Supporting residents on minibus trips which can involve personal care.
- Supporting residents one-to-one as well as in group settings, making sure everyone feels included and valued.
- Building strong relationships with residents, their families, and friends to really understand what brings them joy.
- Bringing the local community into the home by arranging visits, outings, and special guests.
- Working closely with the care team so activities are a natural part of daily life.
- Completing administration tasks to ensure our record keeping is kept up to date.
- Working with the team to create visuals for our marketing team of all the amazing work the team does.
About You
- Friendly, approachable, patient and bursting with enthusiasm.
- A good communicator who enjoys chatting and listening to people’s stories.
- Creative with plenty of ideas for fun, stimulating activities.
- Organised and confident at planning events and encouraging others to get involved.
- Strong IT skills
- Above all, someone who genuinely cares about making a difference to our residents
