Colten Developments are looking for a reliable and proactive individual to join our team as a Small Tool Fitter / Assistant Plant & Transport Manager. This is a varied, hands-on role combining equipment maintenance, fleet coordination, and operational support.
Full training and development opportunities will be provided to help you succeed and grow within the company.
Key Responsibilities:- Carry out routine maintenance on small tools, pumps, generators, and plant machinery
- Perform repairs to ensure all company-owned equipment is safe and fit for purpose
- Diagnose faults and troubleshoot mechanical issues efficiently
- Source, negotiate, and manage hire plant and equipment rates
- Support the management of the company vehicle fleet
- Liaise with suppliers to negotiate competitive pricing for repairs and servicing
- Provide cover for the Plant & Transport Manager during absences (previous experience not essential)
- Operate company 7.5-tonne vehicles (CPC preferred but not essential)
- Operate warehouse forklift truck
- Full internal and external training
