We are looking for a highly skilled Data Solution Architect to lead the design and delivery of scalable, secure, and high-performing data platforms within the Azure ecosystem. This is a long-term engagement working in a hybrid London setup, suited for someone who can combine hands-on expertise with strategic architectural thinking.
Key Responsibilities
- Architecture Design
- Design end-to-end data architectures using Azure services such as Azure SQL, Synapse Analytics, Databricks, and Data Lake Storage.
- Ensure solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned with enterprise standards.
- Data Modelling & Management
- Develop and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models.
- Support both analytical and operational data use cases.
- Azure Infrastructure & Integration
- Build and optimize data pipelines using Azure Data Factory (ADF) and ELT/ETL frameworks.
- Define efficient data storage and processing strategies.
- Governance & Security
- Implement data governance, cataloguing, and lineage using Microsoft Purview.
- Ensure compliance with security, privacy, and regulatory standards.
- Stakeholder Collaboration
- Translate business requirements into technical architecture and solution designs.
- Work closely with engineering, analytics, and business stakeholders.
- Performance & Cost Optimization
- Monitor Azure environments and optimize for performance and cost efficiency.
- Azure Data Platform Expertise
- Hands-on experience with ADF and Databricks (pipelines, workflows, clusters).
- SQL Expertise
- Advanced SQL skills for performance tuning, troubleshooting, and optimization.
