Overview
We are seeking an experienced Product Owner with strong Identity and Access Management (IAM) expertise, particularly within SailPoint solutions, to lead the delivery and optimisation of identity governance capabilities within a secure and complex environment. The successful candidate will act as the bridge between business stakeholders, security teams, and technical delivery teams, ensuring SailPoint products and services deliver measurable value while supporting organisational security and compliance objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Product Ownership & Strategy
- Own and manage the SailPoint product roadmap, backlog, and prioritisation process.
- Define and communicate product vision, objectives, and success measures aligned with organisational goals.
- Translate business, security, and compliance requirements into prioritised product features and user stories.
- Drive continuous improvement of identity governance and administration (IGA) capabilities.
- Stakeholder Management
- Engage with business stakeholders, security teams, architects, and delivery partners to gather requirements and define priorities.
- Act as the primary point of contact for SailPoint-related product decisions.
- Facilitate workshops, planning sessions, and stakeholder reviews to ensure alignment and transparency.
- Manage competing priorities and ensure delivery remains focused on business value.
- Delivery & Governance
- Work closely with Agile delivery teams to define, refine, and prioritise backlog items.
- Ensure user stories and acceptance criteria are clearly documented and understood.
- Support sprint planning, backlog refinement, testing, and release activities.
- Monitor delivery progress and proactively manage risks, issues, and dependencies.
- Identity & Access Management
- Champion best practices across Identity Governance and Administration (IGA).
- Support the implementation and enhancement of SailPoint IdentityIQ and/or Identity Security Cloud capabilities.
- Ensure identity lifecycle management, access certification, role management, and provisioning processes meet business and security requirements.
- Collaborate with cybersecurity and compliance teams to maintain regulatory and audit readiness.
- Performance & Continuous Improvement
- Define and track product KPIs and operational metrics.
- Gather user feedback and identify opportunities to improve user experience and operational efficiency.
- Stay informed of SailPoint product developments and industry best practices in IAM and cybersecurity.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Proven experience as a Product Owner in Agile delivery environments.
- Strong experience working with SailPoint IdentityIQ, Identity Security Cloud, or related SailPoint solutions.
- Good understanding of Identity and Access Management (IAM) and Identity Governance and Administration (IGA) principles.
- Experience managing product backlogs, user stories, and prioritisation frameworks.
- Ability to translate technical concepts into business-focused outcomes.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Experience working within security-focused or regulated environments.
Desirable Skills & Experience
- Experience working within government, public sector, defence, or highly regulated organisations.
- Knowledge of access certification, role-based access control (RBAC), privileged access management (PAM), and identity lifecycle management.
- Familiarity with Agile frameworks such as Scrum or SAFe.
- Experience working alongside cybersecurity, architecture, and compliance teams.
- Existing SC Clearance.
