We are currently supporting a major Financial Services organisation that is undergoing significant business and technology transformation and is looking to engage experienced Senior Enterprise Architects to join several strategic architecture programmes.
This is an opportunity to work across large-scale transformation initiatives spanning Commercial Banking, Data & AI, and Enterprise Functions, helping shape future-state architecture, technology strategy, and enterprise-wide roadmaps.
Key Responsibilities- Define and communicate target-state and future-state enterprise architectures
- Develop architecture roadmaps aligned to business and technology strategy
- Provide architectural leadership across applications, data, integration, cloud, and infrastructure domains
- Produce architecture artefacts, standards, principles, and decision records
- Support architecture governance, design assurance, and technology guardrails
- Drive API-led, event-driven, and cloud-native architecture approaches
- Work closely with engineering, platform, delivery, and business stakeholders to ensure architectural alignment
- Identify cross-domain dependencies, risks, opportunities, and emerging technologies
- Contribute to architecture modernisation initiatives including Architecture as Code and composable architecture approaches
- Significant Enterprise Architecture experience within complex organisations
- Strong understanding of architecture across applications, data, integration, infrastructure, and cloud platforms
- Experience developing enterprise roadmaps, target architectures, and transformation strategies
- Strong knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure
- Experience with API-led architectures, microservices, and event-driven design patterns
- Ability to engage and influence senior business and technology stakeholders
- Experience operating within architecture governance frameworks and design authorities
- Strong understanding of modern engineering and delivery practices
- Financial Services, Banking, Insurance, Pensions, Wealth Management, Payments, Loans, or Cards experience
- Data Architecture, AI, Machine Learning, or Analytics platforms
- Architecture as Code, Platform Engineering, or Cloud Transformation programmes
- TOGAF or equivalent architecture frameworks
- Experience with emerging technologies including AI and Agentic AI
