We are seeking a highly experienced Senior GCP DevOps / Platform Engineer to design and own the cloud foundation for a production-grade Agentic IVR platform. This role is focused on GCP platform engineering, DevOps automation, CI/CD, infrastructure, and SRE enablement, rather than application or AI model development. You will be responsible for establishing secure, scalable, and fully automated cloud environments across the full SDLC, ensuring operational readiness for enterprise-grade deployment.
Key Responsibilities
- GCP Cloud Foundation & Environment Setup
- Design and provision multiple GCP projects across DEV / INT / PRE-PROD / PROD / Canary environments
- Implement strict environment isolation, IAM boundaries, and service account governance
- Design secure VPC architecture, private connectivity, and network egress controls
- Enforce UK/EU region compliance and data residency requirements
- Create sandbox environments for CXAS (Google CX Agent Studio / Dialogflow) with no production connectivity
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC) & Platform Governance
- Own and maintain Terraform-based infrastructure provisioning
- Build reusable modules for IAM, networking, logging, secrets, and services
- Implement policy-as-code guardrails and drift prevention controls
- Enforce security, compliance, and operational standards via automation
- CI/CD & Release Engineering
- Design and implement end-to-end CI/CD pipelines for CXAS agent artefacts and configuration promotion
- Middleware services (GKE / Cloud Run / OpenShift)
- Infrastructure provisioning workflows
- Embed security scanning, validation, and quality gates
- Canary deployments
- Blue/green releases
- Shadow and dual-run testing
- Manage deployments on GKE and/or OpenShift
- Build and maintain containerised workloads using Kubernetes, Helm, and Docker
- Support scaling, resilience, and high availability across environments
- Observability, SRE & Operational Readiness
- Implement monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability frameworks
- Define SLIs/SLOs and ensure production readiness standards
- Support incident response, resilience engineering, and operational maturity
- Enable continuous improvement through automation and feedback loops
Required Skills & Experience
- 8–10+ years’ experience in GCP cloud engineering or DevOps platform roles
- Strong hands‑on experience with GCP (IAM, networking, project structure, security)
- Expert‑level Terraform (Infrastructure as Code) experience
- Strong CI/CD experience using tools such as: GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Harness (or similar)
- Strong experience with Kubernetes (GKE and/or OpenShift)
- Proven experience with containerised deployments (Docker, Helm, K8s manifests)
- Experience implementing: Canary deployments, Dual‑run / shadow testing strategies
- Strong understanding of DevOps, SRE, and platform engineering principles
- Experience with contact centre / IVR / CX platforms
- Exposure to Google CX Agent Studio or Dialogflow
- Experience in regulated enterprise environments (financial services preferred)
