We are seeking four experienced Power BI Developers to join a major data and reporting transformation programme. This is a hands-on delivery role focused on building high-quality, production-grade reporting solutions across a modern Microsoft data platform.

The successful candidates will have strong end-to-end Power BI development experience, including data preparation, semantic modelling, DAX development, dashboard design, performance optimisation, and report deployment. Experience working with Microsoft Fabric and promoting reporting best practices across teams is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and deliver end-to-end Power BI reporting solutions from data ingestion through to production-ready dashboards.
  • Build robust semantic models using Power Query (M), DAX, and Power BI best practices.
  • Develop visually engaging and user-friendly dashboards with a strong focus on UX and data storytelling.
  • Optimise report and dataset performance to ensure scalability and responsiveness.
  • Integrate Power BI solutions with Microsoft Fabric components including Lakehouse, Dataflows, Warehouses, and Semantic Models.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into reporting solutions.
  • Produce clear technical documentation covering datasets, calculations, models, report logic, and deployment processes.
  • Support governance, standards, and best practices across the Power BI estate.
  • Provide coaching and guidance to analysts and junior developers on Power BI development techniques and reporting standards.
  • Participate in peer reviews, quality assurance activities, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Essential Skills & Experience
  • Proven experience delivering end-to-end Power BI solutions in enterprise production environments.
  • Advanced Power BI development skills including:
    • Power Query (M)
    • DAX
    • Data Modelling
    • Semantic Models
  • Strong understanding of data visualisation principles and dashboard UX design.
  • Experience optimising large and complex Power BI datasets and reports.
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric and its integration with Power BI.
  • Strong documentation and knowledge-sharing capabilities.
  • Experience working directly with business stakeholders to define reporting requirements.
  • Ability to coach, mentor, and support other Power BI developers and analysts.
Desirable Experience
  • Experience working within large-scale transformation programmes.
  • Exposure to Azure Data Platform technologies.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines for Power BI deployments.
  • Knowledge of data governance, reporting standards, and enterprise BI frameworks.
  • Experience working in regulated or complex enterprise environments.
