Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Data Management Specialist with strong expertise in the Insurance domain to drive enterprise data governance, data quality, and finance data transformation initiatives. The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring trusted, compliant, and business-ready data across policy, claims, and finance systems. This role will collaborate closely with Data Architecture, Engineering, Finance, Risk, and Business teams to establish strong governance frameworks, improve data quality, support regulatory compliance, and enable accurate financial reporting. The position requires deep understanding of insurance data flows, reconciliation processes, retention policies, and modern enterprise data platforms such as Databricks/EDP environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Data Governance & Stewardship
- Define, implement, and maintain enterprise data governance standards across insurance data domains including Policy, Claims, and Finance.
- Establish governance controls, ownership models, data lineage, and stewardship processes.
- Develop and enforce data standards, business rules, metadata management, and master data practices.
- Ensure data is audit-ready and aligned with enterprise governance frameworks.
- Data Quality & Reconciliation
- Design and implement data quality frameworks, validation controls, and monitoring mechanisms.
- Establish reconciliation processes across operational and financial datasets.
- Identify, analyze, and resolve data inconsistencies, duplication, and integrity issues.
- Create dashboards and KPIs to track data quality metrics and governance compliance.
- Finance Transformation Support
- Support finance transformation and reporting programs through trusted and standardized data management practices.
- Collaborate with Finance and Reporting teams to establish a single source of truth for financial data.
- Ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency of financial reporting datasets.
- Assist in regulatory and management reporting data validation activities.
- Data Lifecycle Management
- Support enterprise initiatives related to data retention, archival, and purging strategies.
- Ensure compliance with GDPR, regulatory requirements, and internal data policies.
- Define archival and retention rules for structured insurance datasets.
- Coordinate with infrastructure and engineering teams to optimize data storage and accessibility.
- Collaboration & Stakeholder Management
- Work closely with Data Architects, Engineering, Analytics, Risk, Compliance, and Business teams.
- Translate business data requirements into governance and quality controls.
- Participate in data governance councils, workshops, and transformation initiatives.
- Provide guidance on best practices for enterprise data management.

- Strong experience in the Insurance industry with exposure to:
