Why we need this roleWe are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive security control assurance specialist to ensure the design, implementation, and ongoing effectiveness of security controls across the organization. This role is critical in validating that security controls meet regulatory, legal, and organizational requirements and are operating effectively to mitigate risk.

What you will doControl Assurance & TestingPlan and execute control assurance activities, including testing and validation of security controlsDevelop and maintain control testing methodologies, scripts, and proceduresPerform periodic and continuous control monitoring to ensure ongoing effectivenessIdentify control gaps, deficiencies, and areas for improvementCompliance & Risk AlignmentAssess controls against relevant frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST CSF, CIS Controls, SOC 2, NIS2)Assess control effectiveness across: Design Effectiveness (DE), Operating Effectiveness (OE) and Control Automation (CA)Support regulatory and internal compliance initiativesEnsure controls align with organizational risk appetite and policiesAudit SupportAct as a key point of contact for internal and external auditsProvide evidence, documentation, and walkthroughs for auditorsTrack audit findings and support remediation effortsReporting & DocumentationDocument control testing results, findings, and risk implicationsProduce clear and concise assurance reports for management and stakeholdersMaintain control inventories and assurance documentationStakeholder CollaborationPartner with IT, security engineering, and business teams to evaluate controlsSupport control owners in remediation planning and executionProvide guidance on control design and best practicesWhat we're looking forMust haves:3β6+ years of experience in information security, IT audit, or GRCProven experience with security control testing and assurance activitiesStrong knowledge of one or more frameworks: ISO 27001 / ISO 27002NIST CSF / NIST 800-53SOC 2 / ISAE 3402CIS Critical Security Controls Strong analytical and problem-solving skillsAttention to detail and high level of accuracyAbility to interpret technical controls and translate into business riskExcellent communication and stakeholder management skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities and deadlinesMight haves: Professional certifications such as: CISA, CISM, CISSP, CRISC or equivalentExperience with regulatory requirements (e.g., NIS2, GDPR, SOX)Familiarity with GRC tools (e.g., ServiceNow GRC, Archer, OneTrust)Experience with cloud environments (Azure, AWS, GCP) and related controlsWhat we offer you: Looking to make a mark?
